Who is Man Utd’s target on Facundo Medina?

Manchester United are reportedly “very serious” about signing Lens center-back Facundo Medina due to the 21-year-old impressing in Ligue 1 in the first half of the season.

Originally educated at River Plate, Medina only joined Lens last summer from Argentinian club Talleres and immediately played regularly in France’s top flight for his newly promoted club.

Local newspaper La Voix du Nord notes that Lens paid around 3.6 million euros with add-ons of up to 2.4 million euros for Medina. But it is said that United could act “quickly” and offer them 12million euros (£ 10.7million).

It would present a nice profit for Lens and they are expected to still keep Medina on loan for the remainder of the season, with Medina unlikely to move to Manchester in January.

United are on the hunt for a center-back in 2021 and have already spotted a number of players as they assess their options.

While also keeping an eye on the contractual situation surrounding Sergio Ramos at Real Madrid, many of their potential targets are young or still have long-term potential to develop at Old Trafford. This included Pau Torres as the primary target, as well as Jules Kounde, Caglar Soyuncu and Ben White.

Oddly enough, Medina is left-handed, which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ideally wanted to provide a better balance for his team on the pitch.

United are hoping to switch to Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones from a bloated center-back serve as soon as possible. Eric Bailly has recently returned to form and fitness, while Solskjaer still has local talent Axel Tuanzebe at his disposal.

Medina is available on FIFA 21. He is a rare silver card on FIFA Ultimate Team and his overall rating this season is 70. He has 78 for pace, which makes him relatively quick for a defender. central – what United wanted back alongside the less mobile Harry Maguire. For comparison, this also makes him faster on the game than Bailly.

His pass is 59, his dribbling is 68, his defense is 70 and his physique is 73, as well as his shot is 33.

It is estimated that his current potential in career mode could be 82.
