Romelu Lukaku rightly considers himself one of the top five strikers in world football

Inter star Romelu Lukaku has said he is currently one of the top five strikers in world football, having made another prolific start to the new season – and we agree at 90 minutes, after choosing the attacker for our series # W2WC.

The 27-year-old has been a big hit in Italy since leaving Manchester United at the start of the 2019/20 campaign, scoring 34 goals in all competitions last year and starting the new season with 11 league goals in 13 appearances .

And his meteoric form over the past five months has led Lukaku to believe he is now one of the top five forwards in the world, though he turned down the opportunity to create a concrete roster … which is good because we at 90min have created one for him which will be released at 5:00 p.m. GMT on Wednesday December 30th (keep an eye out for our Twitter for said list).

“In the past five months, yes. I don’t want to rank this group from one to five, but I’m part of it right now, ”he said. Voetbal, Quoted by Goal.

Lukaku was also named UEFA’s most productive player in 2020, scoring four goals in the Champions League, seven in the Europa League and five in the Nations League with Belgium.

His record across the board has been fantastic since leaving the Red Devils, and he has regained the form that convinced the Premier League giants to spend more than £ 75million on his services in 2017.

The Belgian striker aims to make his name in Inter history by guiding them to their first league title since 2010, and his relentless goals by scoring his licensee I Nerazzurri in second place in Serie A, at a point only of his undefeated rival Milan.

The Italian giants could spark one of the most exciting title races in recent history, with the two main enemies clashing, while current holders Juventus look to move up the standings from sixth place.

Whatever happens, Inter will need Lukaku at his best to clinch the Scudetto.
