Restaurants, hotels and “nanbais” in Karachi have received permission to operate from 8 am to 5 pm.
According to a notification issued by Commissioner Karachi, restaurants may offer takeout and home delivery services. However, dining is strictly prohibited.
The government has also issued a series of SOPs that must be followed. This includes following the proper procedure to ensure that everything is disinfected. All workers must be checked before entering the workplace.
Commissioner Karachi has also made the use of face masks mandatory for those who leave their homes.
“Facial masks are mandatory for all people who leave homes for a valid reason or are exempt during closing. The mask will cover the nose, mouth, and chin.
If flu, cough, or fever symptoms are found, you can be referred to the hospital right away, the notification reads.
Meanwhile, some areas of Karachi, where a large number of COVID-19 cases have been reported, have been completely sealed off by the Sindh government.
