The United States Department of Transportation has granted permission to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to make direct flights to the United States, airline spokesman Abdullah Hafeez confirmed on Thursday.

For any passenger flight, heading to the US USA From a destination outside Pakistan, PIA will have to inform the transport department in writing of the route that it is taking three business days before the operation. If the airline elects to operate or change the route of a flightless flight more than three business days before its planned departure, it may request that the department remove the requirement “if good cause is demonstrated.”
In the event that a PIA flight is heading to the US USA From an airport outside Pakistan, you must obtain a security clearance from the Transportation Security Administration. In addition, the aircraft that flies to the US USA You must have the authorization document issued by the transportation department.
In addition to the above conditions, PIA must also comply with the rules and regulations established by other interested US departments, including the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
