Pakistan Railway announced on Tuesday that it will start the limited operations on May 10th across the country.
Initially, 15 trains will operate, including Tezgam, Awam Express, Khyber Mail and others, a notification issued by the ministry said.
The notification also details the precautionary measures that passengers must follow while traveling on trains. Passengers and railway staff have been asked to maintain social distance during the journey.
Fifty percent of ticket reservations will be made through the online system, he added.
Operation of the passenger train was suspended across Pakistan in March following the increase in COVID-19 cases, while the freight train service did not stop.
