The UAE government has officially mentioned the deferment of World Expo 2020 Dubai, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) said in an announcement on Saturday.
Following interviews with the BIE, taking part nations and key partners, the UAE has proposed October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, as the new dates for Expo 2020 Dubai, said the announcement.
The BIE’s official board of trustees will meet for all intents and purposes on April 21 to talk about the delay. The gathering will see the investment of 12 chosen Member States just as the Secretary General of the BIE, Dimitri S. Kerkentzes.
An official choice on a difference in dates must be made by a 66% dominant part vote of BIE Member States.
