Liverpool ‘strike deal’ on signing Renato Sanches

Liverpool have “made a deal” to sign Renato Sanches from Lille, according to a surprising report in Italy.

After several career setbacks, Sanches has returned to some form since signing for Les Dogues in 2019, making 40 appearances in the past two seasons and scoring five goals.

These screens have Apparently was enough to pique the interest of the Premier League champions. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Liverpool have reached a £ 18million deal with Lille for their services. However, it should be pointed out that this information was buried 10 paragraphs in a rambling “transfer editorial”.

It is said that Sanches is considered to be Georginio Wijnaldum’s replacement. Wijnaldum’s contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a departure from the club this summer, with Barcelona and Inter both linked.

Although Liverpool want the midfielder to stay, it is not yet clear whether he will extend his contract. If he leaves, Sanches could be the Reds’ number one target.

The 2016 Golden Boy winner has had an interesting career. Having started at Benfica, he impressed from a young age and made big money at Bayern Munich in 2016 just after winning the European Championship with Portugal.

After struggling to find a starting place in Bavaria, he was loaned to Swansea City, where he failed to make an impact. His Premier League stint was characterized by botched mistakes, with Sanches even passing the ball to a billboard during a game against Chelsea in November 2017.

Since sealing a move to Lille he has looked much more likely to deliver on his promise, despite missing his side’s last six league games with a muscle injury.

Don’t hold your breath on that of the Liverpool fans.
