Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez plan shock reunion at Inter Miami

Barcelona star Lionel Messi is considering a move to Inter Miami from the Major League Soccer side, and he hopes to be joined by former teammate Luis Suarez.

Messi recently sat down for an in-depth interview in which he confessed he dreams of testing himself in another league before retiring, making MLS a potential landing point somewhere down the line.

According to Catalunya Radio, Messi has actually thought a little more about a move to the United States than he suggests, and he has spoken with Suarez about a move to Inter Miami in the future.

The pair are believed to have expressed a desire to join David Beckham’s side, but not until 2022, when Suarez’s contract with Atletico Madrid is set to expire.

Messi and Suarez, who forged a close bond during their time at Camp Nou, are known to speak regularly and both have been frustrated by the nature of Suarez’s abrupt exit from Barcelona over the summer.

It seems they have spoken about their future, although Messi has recently insisted that he is only thinking of trying to lead Barcelona to success this season.

“I don’t think too far in the short term and just want to see how the season ends,” he revealed. “I will not negotiate with other clubs. I will wait until the end of the season and in June I will. decide.”

Messi has spoken openly about his desire to stay with Barcelona in the past but has refused to make a decision on his future before the next presidential elections, when he knows more about the club’s leadership.

On January 24, Barcelona will crown the successor to former boss Josep Maria Bartomeu, and whoever takes the throne will likely do their first job with Messi to talk about the future.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with moves to Messi this summer, but the Argentine could ultimately choose to re-sign for at least another year.
