Fernandinho has received offers from Brazil and Europe as Manchester City contract expires

Fernandinho’s agent has said he has received offers from Brazilian and European clubs, with the Manchester City midfielder’s contract set to expire at the end of the campaign.

He is currently in his eighth season at City and has been the linchpin of the team for several years. During their time at the Etihad Stadium, the club won three Premier League titles, five League Cups as well as the FA Cup in 2019.

Fernadinho’s illustrious stint with City is set to end this summer, although the club have ambitions to keep him for another year.

Guardiola has admitted that the defensive midfielder may look for a new challenge at the end of the season and the player’s agent recently confirmed that he has received offers from several teams, strongly hinting that former club Atletico Paranaense was among those interested.

“We have received several proposals, good projects from Brazilian and European clubs for Fernandinho. He’s a phenomenal player and person, ”said Giovanni Branchini in an interview with GloboEsporte.

“I think it won’t be long before he finds out what decision he makes. Everyone knows Fernandinho has a great affection for Atletico and the board. I too have an excellent relationship with President Mario Celso Petraglia.

“Conversations have always been happening, but I can’t go on and say we’re talking about values, for example. It hasn’t happened yet. ”

Despite his years of advancement, Fernandinho remains an important part of the city squad. He has made 15 appearances in all competitions so far this season and remains one of the best in the world in his role.

If he leaves in the summer, he hopes to clinch a final Premier League title before leaving. City are currently fifth, four points behind Liverpool and Manchester United with games underway.
