Every record Cristiano Ronaldo broke
Depending on who you think, Cristiano Ronaldo is now recognized as the all-time leading scorer after his recent 760th career goal in Juventus’ victory over Napoli in the 2020 Supercoppa Italiana.
Having already edged out Brazilian icon Pelé, whose official goal tally is 757, Ronaldo outscored Czech striker Josef Bican, who finished on 759 when he hung up his boots.
The numbers are disputed, you think, with Pelé firmly claiming that he has scored 1,283 goals – a number heavily inflated by those scored in unofficial games, exhibitions and touring matches. The Czech federation, meanwhile, is contesting Ronaldo’s record, claiming that Bican got 821.
But that’s far from the only record, if it’s his own, the irrepressible Ronaldo has established over a career that places him firmly among the greatest players of all time.
All-time top scorer – 760 goals (played)
Ronaldo scored five goals for Sporting CP, 118 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 85 and counting for Juventus and 102 and counting for Portugal.
As already mentioned, this record is strongly contested, debatable by Pelé, but more precisely by the Czech federation on behalf of Bican.
