Amad Butt Reveals His Favorite Allrounder

The season of cricket is coming back as the Green Shirts are looking forward to take on the Bangladesh Cricket Team in a series of three T20Is at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The series was finalized after a lot of ifs and buts and the Bengal Tigers are going to tour Pakistan after a gap of almost a decade. They last played in the Asia Cup 2008 which was hosted in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) under the supervision of the Head Coach and the Chief Selector Misbah-ul-Haq has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.

Misbah-ul-Haq has decided to add quite a few young faces in the squad and the promising all-rounder Amad Butt is also going to make his debut in the upcoming T20I series.

The all-rounder is over the moon after he was picked in the squad and he addressed the media at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore and revealed his feelings.

“I am obviously very happy and it is an honor to represent Pakistan at this level. I will try and play my natural game to give Pakistan success in the series.” Amad Butt.

While being asked about his favorite all-rounder, Amad Butt said that the former English all-rounder and Ashes Hero Andrew Flintoff is someone he looks up to.

He also stated that the expectations are quite high and the fans are expecting him to fill the gap of an all-rounder like Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood.

There is no doubt that Amad Butt is coming with a lot of expectations behind his back and after the consistent failures of Faheem Ashraf, Amad Butt has finally got his chance and he would love to make his mark straightaway.

Amad Butt has had a terrific first-class season for Balochistan and he also played a key role in taking his team to the final in the National T20 Cup 2019. On the back of his consistent performances, Butt was drafted into the National side of Pakistan for the T20I series.

Butt has also played for Pakistan U-19 in the ICC U-19 World Cup in 2016. He was involved in a match-winning partnership with Zafar Gohar against England in the semi-final of that tournament.

The young all-rounder is considered as one of the most promising youngsters in Pakistan and he is expected to showcase his talent at the highest level against Pakistan in the upcoming T20I series in Lahore.

Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan have been picked in the squad as well which makes it a little difficult for the young all-rounder to find a place in the playing XI straightaway. However, if Amad gets a chance even in one of the matches, he will make sure to deliver with both bat and bowl.

The first match of the series is going to be played on the 24th of January and the 2nd and 3RD T20I will be played on the 25th and 27th of January. Get your tickets right now as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also revealed the ticket prices and the outlets to get your tickets.
