Adidas launches new Predator Freak from another world

adidas has unveiled the latest version of its famous Predator silo: the Predator Freak.

Equipped with “Demonskin” technology, they promote better ball control and deflections on the pitch and should be worn by Paul Pogba, Marc-André ter Stegen and David Alaba. England international Toni Duggan and Manchester City star Abby Dahlkemper will also wear them in the near future.

Launched last season, Demonskin technology consists of a layer of small rubber spikes, calibrated by a computer algorithm to maximize ball control. This, combined with the ‘Primeknit’ slip-on foot collar and ‘Controlframe’ contoured outsole, creates an unmatched level of comfort and performance.

The innovative design is a result of direct feedback from adidas athletes, with Pogba revealing he has improved his game. The Frenchman launched the new silo against Liverpool on Sunday.

“From the first use I knew that Adidas had created something special with their Demonskin material. As soon as I touched the ball I really felt a difference in the way my foot connected. I’m happy that my experience with this material has had an impact on the new Predator design, ”he says.

Atletico Madrid forward Duggan echoed the comments, saying: “The Predator has been the perfect shoe for me, and after testing the updated shoe in training I can already say that the new model will help improve my control on the ball this season. . “

Aesthetically, the Predator Freak is also strong. Referring to the Predator Accelerator and Predator Precision – released in 1998 and 2000 respectively – it features three white stripes surrounding the boot, as well as bright and yellow Demonskin spike spots.

In addition to these stylish shoes, the Freak range will include shin guards and goalie gloves. Each of these products will also feature Demonskin, extending the same feeling of grip and control in all positions of the court.

The shoes are available worldwide from today (January 19) through adidas.com and selected retailers.
